餃子作り Making Gyoza

ケンくんのお友達のママが餃子が好きということで、一緒に餃子作りをしました。
Kenshi's friend's Mom likes Gyoza, so we made it together.
ママ達が餃子作りを終えた後は、お外遊び～！
この日もとってもいいお天気で、子供達も気持ち良さそうに遊んでいました。
When the Moms got finished making Gyoza, it was time to play outside!
The weather was great, and the kids had a great time playing.
ケンくんはアイビーと愛車のJeepでドライブ～。
Kenshi and Ivy took a drive in Kenshi's Jeep.

2週間ほど前の日曜日。
アラバマではすでに春到来！

結婚記念日

3日は、私達の4回目の結婚記念日でした。
記念日デートは日本食レストランへ。
恐る恐る行った日本食レストラン。（当たり外れがあるので）
アラバマでは珍しく日本人のスタッフが働いていて、お寿司も天ぷらも美味しかったです。
満足満足♪

お外遊び Playing Outside
最近のボーイズのお気に入りのお外遊びは、
Lately the boys enjoy playing,
1．ケンくん愛車のJeepを乗りまわすこと。
1. Riding around in Kenshi's Jeep.
ユウくんもJeepが大好き！
Yuushi also loves the Jeep!
たまにJeepに揺られながらウトウトしちゃうけど。笑
Sometimes he will fall asleep riding in the jeep.
木にぶつかるぅー！（※わざと）
"I am going to hit a tree!" (on purpose)
ケンくんの運転技術もなかなかのもので、ちゃんと障害物を避けることができるし、ちゃんとガレージに入れることもできます。
ただ、最近本物の道を走りたがるので、怖いです。
目が離せません・・・。
Kenshi's driving skills are very good.
He avoids hitting most things, and can park his car in the garage.
But lately he wants to ride on the real road which is scary.
I can't let them out my sight...
2．パパの趣味に付き合って、林の中で遊ぶこと。
2. Going with Papa into the woods to play is another.
ほっておくと、何時間でも林の中にいます。
不思議なことに、ボーイズはまだポイズンアイビーにかぶれていません。
肌が強いのか、たまたまなのか・・・。
何はともあれ、気を付けて遊んでほしいです。
If you leave them alone, they will play for hours.
I am surprised that the boys have not gotten poison ivy.
Maybe they are not allergic or maybe they are just lucky...
Whatever it is I hope they are careful.
3．ブランコで遊ぶこと。
3. Playing on the swing.
貰い物のブランコをパパが木に設置してくれました。
We inherited a swing, which Papa hung from a tree.
ケンくんもユウくんもブランコが大好き！
でも、ブランコは１つ。
結果、ブランコの取り合い。
特にユウくんはケンくんがブランコに乗っている間、ずっと泣き叫んでいます。
楽しいはずのブランコが、全然楽しくありません。
Kenshi and Yuushi both love the swing, but there is only one.
They always end up fighting.
Especially Yuushi, whenever Kenshi is riding in the swing, Yuushi is screaming and crying.
The very fun swing, is not very much fun at all.
たまにブランコに揺られながらウトウトしちゃう人～。笑
Sometimes he falls asleep in the swing.
とっても活発な3才児と1才児の男の子。
これからもっと活発になることを考えると恐ろしいです。
ママはもっと体力を付けなくては！

Mama must increase her stamina.

ピクニック Picnic
マクラフリン家、ピクニックが大好きです！
家族と一緒に、いいお天気の下（マクラフリン家は多少寒くても決行！）、のんびりと何かを食す。
この時間が大好きです！
「お外でごはん食べるよ～」と言うと、ケンくんもテンション上がっちゃいます！
We love picnics!
We love being together in great weather eating lunch. (Even if it is a little cold.)
When we say, "let's go outside to eat", Kenshi gets excited!

臭いを嗅ぎつけて近所の犬が寄って来るわ、虫は多いわで、ちょっとイライラ気味の私でした。汗
The neighbor's dogs smelled the food and came over, and there were bugs flying around so I was a little irritated.
家族と一緒に、いいお天気の下（マクラフリン家は多少寒くても決行！）、のんびりと何かを食す。
この時間が大好きです！

その勉強の合間に、どうやら新しい趣味に没頭している模様。

新しいクラス New Classes
教会で、先月からケンくんは光のクラス、ユウくんは託児のクラスになりました。
Last month, Kenshi went in to sunbeams and Yuushi started nursery at church.
光のクラスになってから、張り切って一人でクラスまで行くようになったケンくん。
光のクラスでは、ぬり絵、工作、お歌、年齢の大きなお兄ちゃんやお姉ちゃん達と一緒にお話を聞いたりする時間があったり、イエス・キリストや教会について少しずつ学んでいきます。
こっそりクラスを覗いてみると、ちゃんといい子に座って先生のお話を聞いていました。すごーい！
ケンくん、光のクラスがとっても好きなようです。
Since going to Sunbeams, Kenshi is very excited and will go to class by himself.
When I peek into the class, he is sitting quietly listening to the lesson. WOW!
Kenshi loves his Sunbeam class.
ユウくんはと言うと、まだクラスに入る前は大泣きですが、しばらくするといい子で遊んだりしているようです。
ただ、途中から眠気が襲ってくるようで、この間もお迎えに行くと、テーブルの下で爆睡していました。笑
Yuushi on the other hand is screaming before going into class, but after a little bit calms down.
But, he always gets very sleepy, and when I went to pick him up the other day he was sleeping under the table.
どんどん成長していく二人。
二人が元気に成長してきていることに感謝です。
They just keep getting growing.
I am so thankful that they are healthy and growing.

シュガークッキー Sugar Cookies
グランマが作った生地をケンくんとユウくんが色んな型で抜いてクッキーづくり。
このシュガークッキー、みんなが飛びつくほど美味しかったです！
普段甘い物を控えているジェイソンもシュガークッキーには勝てませんでした。笑
Grandma made the dough, Kenshi and Yuushi used cookie cutters to make shapes and then we baked them.
These sugar cookies were so good!
Even Jason who tries to stay away from sweets could not stay away.
ケンくんも美味しすぎて、このポーズ。笑
Kenshi and Yuushi thought they were too good.
ちなみに、これは私が日本のレシピを使って作ったシュガークッキー。
On the other hand, these are the cookies I made from a japanese recipe.
見た目も味もグーでしたが、子供達の歯が折れるんじゃないかと心配するくらい固かったです。汗
床に落としても、テーブルに叩き付けても割れないクッキー。
大雑把な性格が裏目に出てしまいました・・・。
They looked very good, but they were so hard that I thought the boys might break a tooth trying to eat them.
You could drop them or even bang them on the table and they would not break.
My halfhearted effort backfired...

お兄ちゃんよりよく食べ、食の太いユウくん。
去年、日本に帰省していた時も、みんなを驚かすほどよく食べ、「ほんに、よぉ食べるなぁ～。謙志より大きくなるでぇ～。」とまで言われていたのに、とってもおチビさんです。
Last year when we were in Japan, everyone was amazed at how much Yuushi eats, even though he is so small.
いつも食事の後片付けが大変・・・。
Cleanup afterward is quite the job though.
でも、毎日この笑顔に癒されています。
But, everyday his smile makes my day.
