Whenever I am cleaning the house Kenshi always helps. Today when I washed the sheets and put them on Kenshi came to help.

＜お手伝い（？）＞
ママが家事をしていると、いつもケンくんがお手伝い（おじゃま）してくれます。
今日も枕カバーやシーツを洗濯して、カバーを付けていると、ケンくんがお手伝いに来てくれました。

Mission Companion

Jason's Mission companion (and family) when he was serving in Japan came to see us on there way back from an internship in Texas to Virginia. Jason and he served in Okayama for 3 months together about 6 years ago. Now they are both married and have become fathers. They shared mission stories and laughed. Only 3 months together and 6 years later still good friends is amazing.

＜同僚＞

ジェイソンが日本で伝道していた時に同僚だったキャスパーさんが、インターンシップ先のテキサスからバージニアに帰る途中、アトランタに寄って私達に会いに来てくれました。

二人は６年前に岡山で３ヶ月間一緒に伝道しました。

今では二人とも結婚してパパになっています。

話は伝道中のハプニング話で大盛り上がり。

たった３ヶ月間一緒に伝道しただけなのに、６年経った今でも変わらず仲が良いのは素晴らしいことです。

Easton is only 4 and a half months, but is the same size as 7 month old Kenshi!

イーストンくんはまだ４ヶ月半なのに、７ヶ月のケンくんと同じサイズでビックリ！

Wedding

Today was the day we had been waiting for, Jon and Aubrey's wedding. The wedding was held at the Birmingham temple. Both were very bright and it was beautiful. After the wedding everyone, but us, went back to Montgomery to have the Luncheon. As soon as the wedding was over we headed back to Atlanta, because Jason had a friendly against Olympia from Honduras. We also missed the reception tonight.

＜結婚式＞
今日は待ちに待ったジョンとオーブリーの結婚式。
私達の家から２時間半ほどのところにある、バーミングハム神殿で式を挙げました。
二人ともキラキラ輝いていて、とても綺麗でした。
式の後は、みんなはランチのためモントゴメリーまで移動（ジェイソンの実家の方）。
私達は今夜ジェイソンがホンジュラス・オリンピアとの親善試合があるため、式が終わってすぐアトランタへ。
夕方からの披露宴にも行けなくてとっても残念でした。

Alex Pineda Chacon the Silverbacks assistant coach is also from Honduras. Alex played for the Silverbacks in the 1st half and for Olympia in the 2nd half. The final was 1 to 0 for Olympia. Jason the day before also played, and then woke up early today drove 5 hours to and from the wedding and only slept for 5 hours. Even after such a hard schedule he was running as hard as he could. I was going to drive back from the wedding, but soon fell asleep. Sorry Jason...

ホンジュラスはシルバーバックスのサブコーチの出身地です。

サブコーチは前半はシルバーバックス、後半はオリンピアの選手としてプレーされました。

結果は１－０でシルバーバックスの敗退。

ジェイソンは昨日もレギュラーとして試合に出場し、朝早く起きて結婚式に出席、往復５時間のドライブ。

そして、睡眠時間は５時間。

このハードスケジュールの後でも、レギュラーとして試合に出場し、全力でフィールドを走り回っていました。

結婚式の帰り道は私が運転して、少しでもジェイソンを休ませてあげようと思っていましたが、私は車に乗った途端夢の中へ。

ごめんね、ジェイソン…。

Home Game -Portland-

We played Portland at home for the second time. Today there was 10 of us rooting for Jason Mclaughlin (plus Jace and Kenshi). Tomorrow is Jon's wedding! Jared, Jeannie, Jace, Aunt Carrie, and Daniel are all coming from Utah. Plus Dad, Mom, Katie, Jon, and Catherine. Everyone has to wake up early, but they came to the game, Thank you! The Silverbacks continued to attack, but could not get a goal. With minutes left Portland scored. However in extra time the Silverbacks got the goal back and the game ended 1-1. It was an exciting game.

＜ホームゲーム　－ポートランド－＞
ポートランド・ティンバースとの２度目のホームゲームがありました。
今日のマクラフリン応援団は総勢１０名（と、ジェイスとケンくん）。
明日は遂に弟のジョンの結婚式！
お兄ちゃん家族、おばさんといとこもユタから来ています。
あと、お父さんとお母さん、ジョン、ケイティ、友達のキャサリン。
みんな、明日は結婚式で朝が早いのに来てくれてありがとう！
試合は終始シルバーバックスが攻め続け、シュートも何本も打ちましたが、なかなか得点につながりません。
そんな中、試合終了５分前のところで、ポートランドに点を入れられてしまいました。
しかし！ロスタイムでシルバーバックスが点を決め、１－１で試合終了。
悔しさの残る試合でしたが、とても楽しかったです！

アント・ケリーとケンくんは今回が初めてのご対面。Before the game, we all ate pizza together.
試合の前は、みんなで我が家でピザを食べました。

After the game we were able to talk to Suzuki Takayuki again. I found out that my youngest sister is a Suzuki fan so I got his signature for her. It was our last time to play Portland so we took a picture Kenshi and Suzuki. Suzuki is a wonderful guy.

試合後、鈴木選手とまたお話ができました♪
実は、妹が鈴木選手の大ファンだったらしく、今日は妹のためにサインをいただきました。
ポートランドとは今シーズン最後の試合だったので、ケンくんも鈴木選手と記念撮影。
私の図々しいお願いも快く受けてくれた、鈴木選手。本当にいい人だな～。

Today Jason's friend also came to see the game (mostly Suzuki). They also stayed the night at our house. We stayed up late talking and had a fun time talking.

そして、今日はジェイソンの友達も応援に来てくれました（鈴木選手の？笑）。
彼らは、今夜は我が家にお泊り。
遅くまでみんなで楽しい時間を過ごしました。

When Jason does the dishes Kenshi comes to the dishwasher and starts beating on the bowl like a drum. Kenshi likes the dishwasher.

Our friends Beau and Brittney had their 2nd child, so we went to see the baby at the hospital. What a cute little baby girl! When I held her she was so small, but I remembered Kenshi was once that small.

友達のボーとブリトニーに第２子が誕生したので、病院まで会いに行ってきました。

とっても可愛い女の子でした！

抱っこさせてもらうと、すごく小さくてビックリしました。

ケンくんも生まれた時はこんなに小さかったんだねー。

Home Game -Independiente-

We played a friendly against Independiente (from Argentina). Unlike against Pachuca, the fans were not so many. The final was 2-1 Silverbacks lost, but Jason scored a goal. Good Job Jason!

アルゼンチン･インディペンディエンテとの親善試合がありました。
先日のパチューカ戦とは打って変わって、観客がとっても少なかったです。
結果は、２－１でシルバーバックスの敗退。
でも、今日はジェイソンが得点を決めてくれました！

Veranda Gardening

Jason and I decided to begin a garden on the back porch. Now we have eggplant, greenpepper, cucumber, and tomato (We started with the most expensive to buy at the store). Later we would like to try some herbs and flowers.

ジェイソンと「自給自足を目指そう！」と、ベランダガーデニングを始めました。
今は、茄子とピーマン、きゅうり、トマトを育てています（まずは買うと高いものから・笑）。
これからハーブや花も育てたいと思っています。

Home Game -Pachuca-

We had a friendly against Pachuca ( a very strong team from Mexico). Pachuca was a very strong team in this years Club World Cup. Even though the it was rainy, the people who came to watch were about the same as far as numbers goes, but they were all Mexican. The people were playing Mexican music and making it a Mexican mood. Also all around me people were speaking Spanish. Kenshi who was not used to hearing Spanish was just looking around with his mouth open. This time I watched the game with the other wives of the players. We were getting bad looks from the people around us as we cheered for the Silverbacks. I was all excited about wearing my Silverbacks Jersey, but felt uncomfortable when I got there. We lost 2 to 0. Pachuca was a very strong team.

＜ホームゲーム　－パチューカ－＞

メキシコ・パチューカとの親善試合がありました。

パチューカは今年のクラブワールドカップにも出場した強いチームだそうです。

今日は雨が降ってあいにくの天気でしたが、試合にはいつもの倍以上の人が。

しかも、みんなメキシコ人。

会場には、メキシコの音楽を演奏している人がいたり、メキシコムードで盛り上がっていました。

そして、周りから聞こえてくるのはスペイン語。

ケンくんは、聞きなれないスペイン語を話すメキシコ人をポカーンと口を開けて見ていました（笑）。

今回はシルバーバックスの選手の奥さんや彼女と観戦。

私達がシルバーバックスを応援すると周りのメキシコ人達から冷たい視線が…。

張り切ってシルバーバックスの赤いＴシャツを着て行った私はとても居心地が悪かったです。

結果は、２－０でシルバーバックスの敗退。

パチューカの選手は、すばしっこい上に体力があり、とても強かったです。

Pool

Kenshi got over his rash, so we went to the pool. This time when we first got in he was a little shocked because the water was cool, but he had really likes the water.

ケンくんの発疹も良くなったので、アパートのプールへ。
初めは水が冷たくてちょっとビックリしていたみたいですが、かなりはしゃいでいました。

KABUKI and Roseola

We went to eat at Kabuki for Dad's Birthday lunch. If you order from the hibachi menu, they cook and do a performance right in front of you. First they light a big fire. Even adults are surprised. Kenshi and 2 other little girls were sitting there and the oldest girl started screaming which surprised Kenshi who then began to cry. When Dad asked the chef where he was from the chef said, "guess and if you get it right I will give you a free lunch." I thought he was from southeast Asia so I said Malaysia and Jason said Singapore. The chef then said he was from Mexico which shocked us all, but then he told us he was from Bali. I wanted to eat sushi so I ordered sushi. It was Americanized Japanese food, but very good. After lunch, Dad Jon and Aubrey went to a movie. Jason Kenshi and I went to the mall to pick up Dad's present. Kenshi pooped his pants so I went to the bathroom to change his diaper when I saw that Kenshi had a rash all over his body. We immediately went home and Sister Enslen came over and told us it was probably Roseola. Get better soon Kenshi.

＜ＫＡＢＵＫＩ＆突発性発疹＞

お父さんのバースデーランチにＫＡＢＵＫＩという日本食レストランへ。

鉄板ものをオーダーすると、目の前でパフォーマンスしながら料理してくれます。

まず初めに、油に火をつけてボーッと大きな炎を出すパフォーマンスをします。

大人でもビックリするのに、鉄板の周りにはケンくんを含めて３人の子供が。

一番大きな女の子が泣き出して、ケンくんもその子を見て大泣き（笑）。

お父さんが料理をしている人に出身地を尋ねると、「当てたらフリーランチにする」と言われたので、かなり真剣に考えました。

私は絶対東南アジア系だと思ったのでマレーシア、ジェイソンはシンガポール。

正解は「メキシコ」。

絶対メキシコ人には見えなーい！と思っていたら、それはジョークでバリの人でした。

この日、私はお寿司が食べたかったのでお寿司をオーダー。

アメリカナイズな日本食でしたが、おいしかったです♪

ＫＡＢＵＫＩを出た後、お父さんとジョン、オーブリーは映画へ。

私達はお父さんのプレゼントを買いにモールへ。

そこでケンくんがウンチをして、服にまでついてしまったのでトイレで着替えさせていると、ケンくんの体中に発疹が出ているのに気付き、慌ててジェイソンの実家に戻りました。

近所に元看護師の人がいるので診てもらうと「突発性発疹」だろうとのこと。
ケンくん、早く元気になってね。

Even though he was not feeling well he still was fine playing with his toys during the day.

体調が悪くても、おもちゃで遊んだり、はいはいしたりしていました。

Independence Day

Today is Independence Day. The Silverbacks won yesterday so Jason got 3 days off. Kenshi's fever went down as well so we went to Wetumpka. First Dad showed us his new computer and then we went to Aubrey's house for a barbeque. Nearby was a river and there were quite a few canoers as well. At night Dad babysat for us while we went and saw fireworks. The fireworks did not last as long as in Japan but they were beautiful. More than anything it was a fun date (which we had not had in a while).

＜独立記念日＞
今日はアメリカの独立記念日で祝日でした。
ジェイソンは昨日試合に勝ったので、今日から３連休♪
ケンくんも熱が下がったので、ジェイソンの実家に帰ってきました。
まず、お父さんの新しいパソコンを見せてもらい、パソコンで少し遊んで、夕方はオーブリーの家へバーベキューに。
近くに川があって、カヌーをしている人もチラホラ。
とてもいい所でした。
夜はお父さんにケンくんのベビーシッターをしてもらい、近くの橋に花火を見に行きました。
日本の花火ほど長くはなかったけど、とてもキレイでした。
なにより、久しぶりのデートで楽しかったです♪

Home Game -Minnesota-

Today we played the Minnesota Thunder. Kenshi was not 100 percent yet so Kenshi and I stayed home. Today Dad came by himself. I watched it on the internet. Not to long after the game began Kenshi started to make noises so I started taking video of him, when Dad called and asked me if I had seen the goal. Because I was focused on Kenshi I missed seeing Jason score. Whenever I watch the games at home I always miss the goals because I go to the bathroom or something like that. Afterwards I watched it and Jason scored a goal from about 25 yards out. The final score was 3 to 2 Silverbacks won. After the game they had fireworks which I really wanted to go to. Kenshi still had a low fever but had fun playing with Grandpa.

＜ホームゲーム　－ミネソタ－＞

ミネソタ・サンダーとの試合がありました。

ケンくんがまだ本調子ではないため、ケンくんと私はお留守番。

今日の応援団は、ジェイソンのお父さん一人だけでした。

私はインターネットで観戦。

試合が始まってしばらくすると、ケンくんが「ブーブー」と言ってかわいかったのでビデオを撮っていたら、お父さんから「さっきのゴール見た？」と電話が。

私がケンくんに夢中になっている間にジェイソンがゴールを決めていたみたいです。

家で観戦する時はいつもジェイソンのゴールを見逃してしまいます。

トイレに行っていたりとか…なんでだろう…（笑）。

後で見てみたら、２５ｍくらいのところからのキレイなロングシュートでした。

結果は３－２でシルバーバックスの勝利！

今日は試合後に花火もあったし、行けなくて残念でした。

ケンくんはまだ微熱が続いていますが、おじいちゃんと楽しそうに遊んでいました。

Lately Kenshi says "bu- bu-".　最近よく「ブーブー」言ってます。

6 Month Check Up and Shots

Today we went to Kenshi's 6 month checkup. Weight 16 lb 4 oz, Height 27 inches. He is growing well. Starting last night he had a little fever so we asked about that as well. In his throat he had some blisters and we were told he had hand foot and mouth disease. I thought it would be better not to get his vaccinations, but the doctor said it would be okay so we did. When I called my mom and told her she said, "In Japan if they have a cough or a runny nose they do not give vaccinations." After the doctor's appointment Kenshi was happy playing, but when it came night time he had a high fever. Before putting him to bed, we gave him some tylenol. It was a first for both Jason and I so we were very worried.

＜６ヶ月検診＆予防接種＞
ケンくんの６ヶ月検診に行ってきました。
体重７４４０ｇ、身長６８．６ｃｍ。
ケンくん、順調に成長しています。
検診では、昨日の夜から少し熱っぽいことを相談しました。
ノドの中を診てもらったら、赤い点々ができていて、手足口病だと診断されました。
予防接種はしない方がいいんじゃないかと思っていましたが、先生が大丈夫と言われたので一応しました。
母に電話で報告したら、「えぇー、日本は咳や鼻水が出ただけでせんでぇ」と驚いていました。
検診から帰った後もご機嫌で遊んでいたケンくんですが、夜には３９度近い高熱が出てグッタリ。
寝る前に解熱剤を飲ませましたが、初めてのことなのでジェイソンも私もかなり心配です。
