Korean Food

Today we went to eat Korean for lunch. Jason ate Bibinbap and I had Toppogi. It was extremely spicy but very good.

＜韓国料理＞
今日は、ランチに韓国料理を食べに行きました。
ジェイソンはビビンバ、私はトッポギをオーダー。
とーっても辛かったけど、両方とも美味しかったです。
ちなみに、ジェイソンはビビンバが大好きです。
日本料理も韓国料理もいけるアメリカ人です（笑）。

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's day. This is Kenshi's first mother's day. Today at church the children gave all the mothers Chocolate. A little girl came and gave me a chocolate, but that was not all it was LINDT chocolate, my favorite!

母の日、おめでとうございます。
ケンくんが生まれて初めての母の日です。
今日は、教会で子供達が女性全員にチョコレートを渡していました。
私のところにも女の子がチョコレートを渡しに来てくれました。
しかも！私の大好きな『Ｌｉｎｄｔ』のチョコレート♪
チョコレートで大喜びしてしまう私ですが（笑）、ちゃんとママしてますよ～！

Lately Kenshi has been putting everything in his mouth.

Big Baby

Today when we went to the bank, Kenshi started talking (making noises) and a worker at the bank started to talk to me. "Boy or Girl? How many months?" she asked. When I answered a "Boy almost 5 months old", she said "He is big! He looks like he is six months! Is he on formula or breastmilk?" she asked. He is on both, and seems to be growing well which makes us very happy.

＜ビッグベイビー＞
今日、近くの銀行へ行った時のこと。
ケンくんが「アーアー」とお話を始めると、近くにいた行員の女性が話しかけてきました。
「男の子？何ヶ月？」と聞かれ、「男の子で、もうすぐで５ヶ月です」と答えると、「大きいねー！６ヶ月くらいに見えるわ！」さらに「何で育ててるの？母乳？」と聞かれました。
ケンくんは、母乳とミルク混合で育てていますが、発育がいいようです。
アメリカ人に「ビッグベイビー」と言われるくらいなので、大きいんでしょうね。
発育がいいのは、親としても嬉しい限りです。
これからも元気に成長してね。

Fun! Fun! Fun!

Today for lunch we went to a team barbeque. We started talking to the assistant coach (His name is Gaucho) and found out that he had played in Japan and he started remembering Japanese words. Someone asked "If will Kenshi play soccer when he gets older?" and Tony McManus said "No he will be a Ninja!" After the barbeque we went to do vaccinations for Kenshi. He got 3 shots and of course he cried, but after 2 minutes the tough little boy stopped crying. After the shots we went to watch the Silverbacks PDL play the Liverpool youth team. Alot of people came to watch the game and the Silverbacks won 2 to 0.

＜バーベキュー・予防接種・サッカー観戦＞
今日はお昼にチームメイトのマンションでバーベキューがありました。
副監督の一人は昔Ｊリーグでプレーしていたこともあり、ジーコ監督、Ｊリーグ、日本語の話で盛り上がりました。
チームメイトの一人が「謙志はサッカー選手になるの？」と聞いてくると、他のチームメイトが「いや、彼は忍者になるよ！」と言っていました（笑）。
バーベキューの後は、ケンくんの予防接種へ。
注射を受けた後はやっぱり大泣きでしたが、２分後にはケロッとしていました。
夜は、シルバーバックスのＰＤＬチームと、イギリス・リバプールのユースチームの試合へ。
いつものシルバーバックスの試合より観客が多い気がしました…。
結果は２－０でシルバーバックスの勝利！
試合は期待していたほどではありませんでしたが、シルバーバックスが勝って良かったです。

Bakery & Soccer Club

Here in Atlanta there is a Japanese Bakery. It has a pretty good selection of cakes and sweets. After 5 o'clock the sweet bread is 1 dollar and the loafs are half off. We go once a week and (we try to make it after 5 ). We also went today and Jason's favorite danish loaf was sold out. There was a really good looking cake but I held off for today. So far I have had a craving for japanese food but always have a craving for japanese sweets. After the bakery, we went to see the practice of a member of the church who is coaching 4 to 6 year old kids. Jason had to go referee so before we left he to 5 minutes with the kids. During the practice one kid just sat down on the ground, another little girl started hitting the ball with a stick, and another boy almost started to cry because he got his ball taken away, but they were very cute running around chasing the ball.
I wonder if Kenshi will play soccer when he gets a little bigger.

＜パン屋さん＆サッカークラブ＞
アトランタには日本のパン屋さんがあります。
種類もそこそこあり、ケーキなどスイーツも置いてあります。
５時以降は菓子パンは＄１、ローフは半額になるのが魅力的なんですよね。
私達は週一ペースで、もちろん５時以降をねらって行っています（笑）。
そして、今日も行ってきました！
今日はジェイソンの大好きなデニッシュローフが売り切れていて残念…。
おいしそうなケーキもありましたが、今日は我慢。
今のところ、日本食は恋しくなっていませんが、やっぱり日本のスイーツは恋しくなります。
パン屋さんに行った後は、教会の人がコーチをしているサッカークラブの練習を見に行きました。
ここでは、４～６才の子供達が練習をしていました。
ジェイソンは審判の仕事があったので２０分くらいで帰りましたが、５分くらい指導させてもらいました。
途中で座り込んでしまう子、足じゃなくて棒でボールを運ぶ子、友達にボールをとられて泣きべそをかく子、いろんな子がいましたが、子供達が一生懸命ボールを追いかける姿はとても可愛らしかったです。
ケンくんも大きくなったらサッカーをするのかな～？

Sitting By Himself

Lately Kenshi has been getting stronger and can sit by himself for a few seconds.

Johnny Jump Up

Now that Kenshi's neck is getting stronger we let him try the Johnny jump up that our friends gave us. He still may be a little young for it.

首もしっかりしてきたので、友達から頂いたジョニージャンプアップをしてみました。
が、ケンくんは「何これ～？」って感じでちょっと興味なし。
これから少しずつ遊んでいこうね。

Home Game -Seattle-

Yesterday the Silverbacks played against the Seattle Sounders. Seattle is a very strong team. Jason had some good shots but couldn't score and they lost 2 to o. Mom came to the game and stayed the night with us.

＜ホームゲーム　－シアトル－＞
昨日はシアトル・サンダーとのホームゲームがありました。
シアトルは、これまた強いチームです。
ジェイソンが何度もいいシュートを打ちましたが、得点につながらず２－０で敗退。
でも、今回もジェイソンのいいプレーをたくさん見ることができました。
試合にはジェイソンのお母さんも来てくれて、昨日は我が家にお泊りでした。
ケンくんはおばあちゃんと楽しい時間を過ごせて良かったね。

When we get ready to bathe him he always has a smile.

GOOOOOAL!!!

Today Jason had a home game with Montreal Impact. Montreal is pretty strong team. However, Atlanta Silverbacks won 3 to 2 and Jason scored his first goal! I forgot for a second that Kenshi was sitting on my lap and I jumped out of my chair I was so excited. After the game, Kazu, Hiromi and Mia, and Beau, Brittany and Ellie came over to our house and ate Ice cream and brownies. Please enjoy watching Jason's wonderful goal.

＜ゴーーーーール！！！＞
今日は、モントリオール・インパクトとのホームゲームがありました。
モントリオールは、かなりの強敵。
しかし！結果は３－２でアトランタ・シルバーバックスの勝利！
そして、ジェイソンが今シーズン初のゴールを決めました！
ケンくんを抱っこしているのも忘れて飛び跳ねてしまうくらい大興奮でした。
試合の後は、一緒に見に行っていたカズさんとヒロミさんとミアちゃん、ジェイソンの友達のボーとブリトニーとエリーちゃんを我が家に招待して、アイスクリームとブラウニーを食べながら楽しいひとときを過ごしました。
ジェイソンの華麗なゴールを楽しんで下さい。

Alabama

On the 12 and 13 we went back to Wetumpka. On the 12 the people from church threw Kenshi a baby shower. Women get together and eat and chat, and at the end open presents. Everyone was so kind to me even though my english isn't that good. This was my first baby shower and it was very fun.

Jared, Jeannie and Jace came to Alabama. Dinner was very fun. After dinner we blessed Kenshi and prayed for Kenshi's growth and health. Lastly we celebrated Jason's birthday. It was a very fun day.

＜アラバマ＞
１２・１３日はジェイソンの実家に帰ってきました。
１２日は、教会の人達がケンくんと私のベイビーシャワーをしてくれました。
ベイビーシャワーは大体出産前にするものですが、私は日本に帰っていたので産後４ヶ月も経っていましたが、皆さんが祝ってくれました。
女性だけで軽食を食べながらおしゃべりをして、最後にプレゼントを開けてみんなに披露します。
英語がうまく話せない私ですが、皆さんいつも優しくしてくれます。
初めてのベイビーシャワー、とても楽しかったです。

ジェイソンのお兄ちゃん家族もユタから帰ってきていたので、夕食はとても賑やかでした。
夕食後はケンくんの祝福をしてもらい、ケンくんのこれからの成長・健康をお祈りしました。
そして、最後は２日早いジェイソンのバースデイパーティー！
とても楽しい一日でした。

パソコンをかまっていたら、ケンくんも参加してきました。

Easter

Today for Easter we went back to Wetumpka. We ate ham for dinner and played a game. We had a fun time talking. This is my 3rd Easter in the US (Once in Canada) but this was my first real easter. Next year Kenshi and I are going on an egg hunt for sure.

＜イースター＞
今日はイースター（復活祭）で、ジェイソンの実家に帰っていました。
イースターはキリストの復活を祝う日で、その日の朝、子供達は家の中に隠された卵を探します。
卵は、前の日の夜に両親がゆで卵を隠すらしいです。
ゆで卵の他にプラスチックの卵もあり、その中にはお金が入っていたりします。
また、イースターバスケットというのもあり、お菓子や文房具のプレゼントももらいます。
ケンくんはパンパース、私もチョコレートがたくさん入ったバスケットをもらいました♪
夕食はみんなでハムを食べて、その後はゲームをして、楽しいひとときを過ごしました。
イースターの日にアメリカにいたのは今回で３回目（１回はカナダ）ですが、今回初めてイースターらしいイースターを経験しました。
来年はケンくんと一緒にエッグハントをするぞッ！

Height & Weight

Kenshi was 14 pounds and 24.8 inches and his head circumference was 16.1 inches at 3 months old. He is getting bigger.

＜身体測定＞
ケンくんは昨日で３ヶ月になりました。
６４００ｇ、６３ｃｍ、頭囲４１ｃｍ。
順調に大きくなってます。

Baby Crib

Kenshi is using this crib. Jason's Dad made it and it was used from Jared all the way to Kenshi. It even swings. Kenshi sleeps in his bed all night.

＜ベビーベッド＞
ケンくんは今このベビーベッドを使っています。
実はこのベビーベッド、ジェイソンのお父さんの手作りで、ジェイソンのお兄ちゃんから使ってるんです。
しかも、揺りかごみたいになっていて、とっても便利！
夜もよく寝てくれるし、ケンくんもこのベッドが気に入ってるみたいです。

Going back to the US

We made it back safely after 24 hours of traveling(including waiting time). Kenshi was a very good little boy all the way through. Alabama is very warm and regretted wearing my heavy coat.

Thanks to my family and friends we had a wonderful time in Japan. Jason made friends and had a lot of great experiences over the 3 months. We are looking forward to the day we meet you again.

＜アメリカ＞
倉吉→大阪（バス）、大阪→デトロイト、デトロイト→バーミングハム、バーミングハム→ウィトンプカ（車）、と長旅を終え、無事ジェイソンの実家に着きました！
待ち時間も含めると、合計約２４時間の長旅です。
ケンくんは飛行機の中でもとてもいい子で、本当によく頑張ってくれました。
やっぱりアラバマは暖かい！
厚いジャケットを着て帰って後悔しました…。

日本では家族を始め、たくさんの人にお世話になり、本当に感謝しています。
ジェイソンも３ヶ月間でしたが、新しい出会いやいい経験をたくさんすることができました。
また皆さんに会える日を楽しみにしています。

Yakiniku

Today we went to eat Yakiniku (Buffet but you cook your own meat on the grill in the middle of the table) with my friends. Before we went back to the States we wanted to eat yakiniku. My friends asked Jason if he wanted vegetables, but he was to focused on the meat. It had been a long time since I had seen my friends. It was good to see them again even for a short time.

＜バイキング＞
今日は友達と私達親子でバイキングへ。
日本に帰る前から｢焼肉食べたいねー｣と言っていたので二人ともウキウキでした。
ジェイソンは友達から野菜を勧められても肉に集中（笑）。
久しぶりに二人に会えて嬉しかったぁ。
短い時間だったけど楽しかったです。

Beautiful Mountain

Today I went to lunch with my friends from Print Case where I worked. Jason and Kenshi stayed at home. I worked there for 8 years and always had a great view of Mt. Daisen on the way to and from work.

＜大山＞
今日は前に勤めていた会社の人達とランチへ。
ジェイソンとケンくんはお留守番でした。
８年間、会社の帰りにこの大山を眺めていました。懐かしいなぁ～。

Party!

Before returning to the United States all of my family got together and we had a Tacoyaki (which is round balls of breaded octopus) party. Along with the tacoyaki there were many other wonderful dishes thanks to my aunts that are very good at cooking. After the party we celebrated my mom's birthday and Hinata's birth.

＜パーティー！＞
私達がアメリカに戻る前に親戚の人達が集まってたこ焼きパーティをしてくれました。
たこ焼きの他にもおいしい料理が盛り沢山！
さすが料理上手のおば達です。
たこ焼きパーティーの後は、母の★回目の誕生日と、姪っ子のひなちゃんの誕生をみんなでお祝いしました。

生後１ヶ月経ち、よく笑うようになりました。

Osaka

We went to Osaka to fill out the paper work so that Kenshi could get his US citizenship. We stayed at my sister Madoka's apartment. On the way there, somebody was hit by a train on the route that we were supposed to take, so we had to take a different route. By the time we got there we were very tired. The next day we woke up early and went to the US Consulate. We got finished earlier than we thought so we had time to look around and play a little in Osaka before it was time to get on the bus home. It was Kenshi's first long trip and he did very well.

＜大阪＞
17、18日はケンくんのアメリカ国籍取得の申請のため大阪へ。17日は妹のまーちゃんのところに泊めさせてもらいました。難波から電車で妹のところに向かう途中、人身事故で電車が止まり、最短ルートは使えなくなってしまい、別ルートで何度も乗換えをして、私もジェイソンもクタクタでした。18日は朝早くから領事館へ。手続きは思ったより早く終わったので、バスの時間まで梅田をウロチョロして家路へ。ケンくんにとって初めての長旅。よく頑張ってくれました。

My little sister who lives in Osaka came back home with her husband to visit. Everyone went bowling except Kenshi and I. Jason was taking the picture.

大阪に住んでいる妹夫婦も帰って来ていたので、兄妹みんなでボーリングへ。私はケンくんとお留守番でした。ジェイソンはカメラマンだったようです。
